For K-pop ticket times listed in KST, convert the sale date and time together. Korea Standard Time is UTC+9. Your local clock may change with daylight saving time, and an early-morning sale in Korea can fall on the previous day where you live.
Copy the sale time before converting it
Start with the organizer’s announcement or the seller it names. Record the year, month, day, time and stated time zone. Do not assume an unlabeled time is Korean time just because the artist is Korean. A global page may show another zone or a localized clock.
Keep ticket opening, fan presale, general sale and performance time separate. The Korean terms 선예매 and 일반예매 refer to different sale categories; the correct opening for you depends on the event’s own conditions. Copy the relevant line instead of choosing the first date on the poster.
Two dates show why a fixed time difference can fail
The table below is a Gold Moment calculation for two hypothetical sales at 18:00 KST. Neither date announces a real ticket release. It compares the same Korean clock time on October 23 and November 6, 2026, so you can see where the local result changes.
In 2026, the US daylight-saving period ends on November 1 in places observing that rule; Spain’s summer-time calendar ends on October 25. Those dates explain the New York, Los Angeles and Madrid examples. They are not rules for every city in either region. Use your city and the actual sale date.
| City / zone | Oct 23, 18:00 KST | Nov 6, 18:00 KST |
|---|---|---|
| Seoul | 18:00 (+09:00) | 18:00 (+09:00) |
| UTC | 09:00 (+00:00) | 09:00 (+00:00) |
| New York | 05:00 (-04:00) | 04:00 (-05:00) |
| Los Angeles | 02:00 (-07:00) | 01:00 (-08:00) |
| Madrid | 11:00 (+02:00) | 10:00 (+01:00) |
| Mexico City | 03:00 (-06:00) | 03:00 (-06:00) |
| Tokyo | 18:00 (+09:00) | 18:00 (+09:00) |
| Beijing | 17:00 (+08:00) | 17:00 (+08:00) |
All entries in this table are on October 23 or November 6 respectively. The midnight example below crosses the date boundary.
An after-midnight sale can mean the previous day
A second example is 00:30 KST on November 6, 2026. That is November 5 at 15:30 UTC and November 5 at 10:30 in New York. Waiting until the morning of November 6 in New York would miss the intended moment.
When reading a 12-hour clock, check AM and PM carefully: midnight is 00:00, while noon is 12:00 in a 24-hour display. If an announcement uses an ambiguous phrase around midnight, confirm the complete date and time with its official source.
Put the result in your calendar
Create a calendar entry using Seoul or Asia/Seoul as the source zone, then inspect the local date your calendar displays. Give it a specific title such as “General sale — artist, venue, seller.” Save the official link and the original KST line in the note.
If you travel before the sale, check which zone your device will display at your destination. A reminder saved for an absolute moment and a note saying “my usual 5 a.m.” are not the same preparation. Recheck after a schedule change rather than reusing an old screenshot.
Prepare the booking steps separately
Time conversion does not establish eligibility. Before the opening, read the event’s membership, account, identification and payment instructions. If a queue or waiting room is mentioned, follow that seller’s current directions instead of applying a fixed rule from another concert.
Avoid building a strategy around an unverified claim that refreshing at a certain second guarantees a better position. This guide converts times; it does not test a booking server, predict queue order or promise ticket availability.
A short note to keep beside your ticket page
Keep five fields together: official announcement; sale category; original date and KST time; local date and city; required actions before opening. This is enough to make a group chat more useful than a message saying only “tickets on Friday.”
For the trip after booking, our KSPO DOME and NAVER Map guides help with venue identification and routes. Sources and time conversions were checked October 22, 2026. The worked examples are teaching examples, not live concert announcements.
