HiKR GROUND Seoul Guide: Hours, Entry and Getting There

HiKR GROUND is an indoor K-culture stop to consider when planning a Seoul trip around music, media and travel. This guide helps you decide when to visit, find the correct building and separate free admission from any separately priced activity. The practical details below were checked on 21 October 2026.

HiKR GROUND: address, hours and admission

Address: 40 Cheonggyecheon-ro, Jung-gu, Seoul. Save the Korean text 서울특별시 중구 청계천로 40 한국관광공사 서울센터 and the name 하이커 그라운드 for your map search. This guide covers the Seoul location, not HiKR Station at Incheon Airport.

Exhibition visit: the official guidance lists Tuesday–Sunday, 10:00–20:00, with final admission at 19:40. The exhibition floors are closed on Mondays. The fifth-floor tourist information center and café have a separate operating arrangement, so their availability does not mean the exhibitions are open. Check the current notice for the part you intend to use.

Admission: general entry is free; separately priced programs may be announced. Free entry is not a promise that every activity, purchase or drink is included. These details come from the official HiKR website and VISITKOREA venue listing.

How to choose your subway route

The official directions identify Jonggak station, line 1, exit 5; Euljiro 1(il)-ga, line 2, exit 2; and Gwanghwamun, line 5, exit 5. Compare the route from your actual starting point instead of choosing a station only because it appears first in a guide.

Save the building pin and inspect the walking section. Keep the Korean address beside it so that you can match a result or show staff where you are going. If needed, follow our NAVER Map English settings guide. Leave room in the schedule for finding the building and returning to the station.

What to expect, and what to verify

Official descriptions introduce media art, K-pop-themed experience areas and content about travel in Korea. Use that as a broad picture of the venue. A photo of a particular set, temporary exhibition or collaboration does not establish that it will be available on your visit date.

If making a video or seeing one specific display is your main reason to go, confirm that activity before building the day around it. Read the current exhibition or event notice and check its dates, access conditions and any separate fee. We have not verified availability for an unspecified future visit.

A flexible way to plan the visit

Choose a main purpose first: K-pop-themed content, media displays or travel information. Put that purpose at the start of your own checklist, then leave time for whichever areas are available. Avoid a plan that requires every advertised activity to run continuously or every filming spot to be immediately free.

Keep a second destination in your plan in case a desired area is unavailable. If you combine the visit with time outdoors near Cheonggyecheon, check the weather and conditions that day. This is a planning suggestion, not a measured walking itinerary or a guaranteed visit duration.

Before filming or travelling with a group

Check signs and ask staff about the activity you want to record, especially if you bring equipment or plan an organized shoot. Do not treat permission for a casual visitor photo as permission for every type of filming. For a group or a guided program, contact the venue about the relevant arrangements rather than assuming an individual visit procedure applies.

Before-you-go checklist

Save the Seoul address; confirm the day and exhibition opening; read any specific program notice; separate entry from optional spending; charge your phone; and save your next destination or accommodation. A café opening or a historical photo should not replace those checks.
